Spinnergy Media is a new media company owned and operated by Mark J. Ellis.
For more than 30 years, Mark has helped businesses like Douglas Dynamics, Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corp., and Hewlett-Packard add value to their business endeavors through information technology. His knack for logic took him from computer programmer to systems analyst and all the way to the ranks of IT senior management.
In 1996, Mark designed the first political website in Maine’s history for a statewide race. His diverse skills led him to the honors of ringing the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2004 and winning a bronze medal at the U.S. Adult National Figure Skating Championships in Dallas, TX in 2006.
A skilled political strategist, Mark became the first Asian-American to serve as the State Chairman of a major political party in Maine. He served as Political Director for Steve Abbott’s campaign for Maine Governor in 2010 and as Campaign Manager for Rep. Matthew G. Pouliot’s campaign for the Maine State Legislature in 2012. In 2014, Mark returned to the helm of Pouliot’s campaign and helped achieve a 2-to-1 victory.
In 2016, Mark was former Congressman Dave Emery’s campaign manager for the Maine State Senate seat in Knox County, ME. While Emery did not prevail in the election, Mark helped him close the gap from a 20% deficit to 2% in an abbreviated, three-month campaign that followed Emery’s late recruitment as a replacement candidate.
Mark also served in the public policy arena as the spokesman for the Maine State Senate Majority Office of the 125th Legislature. He has served as President of the Skating Club of Maine and on the Board of Directors for the Skating Association of Maine and on the Board of Directors for the Kennebec Valley Humane Society.
Mark, who is known by his friends as "Marcos," resides in Gardiner, Maine.
